The Villages

In 1985, the idea for independent living apartments adjacent to the nursing home became a reality. The concept centered around active retirees looking for quiet, secure living in a Christian environment and close to the nursing home since many of them had a loved one there. There are two locations with a total of 66 Village apartments.

Each home has two bedrooms, two baths, covered patio, and an attached carport and has approximately 1,250 sq ft. of living space. When a unit is vacated, Lakeview's competent staff makes any repairs that are needed and gets it ready for the next resident.

Lakeview Christian Village, located along the banks of the beautiful Pecos River, is the site of 48 units.

Northgate Christian Village is located on Pierce Street and has 18 units.
Village residents may eat in the Assisted Living dining room at the Northgate Unit. 

Units are equipped for physically
handicapped residents who need:

• Doorways to accommodate wheelchairs;

• Electrical outlets placed 24 inches from the floor

• Lever handles on the inside of door knobs.

Monthly service fee covers: 

• Insurance on the building

• Yard care

• Maintenance inside and out

• Water and garbage service

Resident's normal expenses include:

• Monthly service fee

• Utilities, excluding water
