Lakeview Christian Home is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where residents enjoy more than 340 days of sunshine each year. Its acres of shade for walking, fishing, picnicking, boating and other outdoor activities make it an ideal retirement community.

Lakeview Christian Home was founded in 1960 by members of the church of Christ, fulfilling a dream of Dr. Owen Puckett. Dr. Puckett, a pioneer Carlsbad physician, envisioned a place where the elderly could live and receive needed care in a Christian setting without regard to ability to pay.

Today, Lakeview serves 450 residents on three campuses.

The Northgate Unit is located in the western part of Carlsbad, convenient to the hospital, shopping centers and doctors’ offices. The Administrative offices of Lakeview Christian Home are located here. The nursing home provides a complete range of nursing care for residents requiring ambulatory to total nursing care. We also have an Assisted Living wing with 28, beautiful, private rooms and a dining room for those residents who can still live independently. Adjacent to the assisted living wing is Northgate Christian Village, 18 two-bedroom, two-bath apartments for totally independent living.

Lakeview Home Health and Lakeview Hospice are both located at the Lakeview Unit situated just across the Pecos River on the right. Behind and to the east of those offices is Lakeview Christian Village, 48 two-bedroom, two-bath apartments for those who are totally independent.
