Donations

Lakeview is blessed with friends and donors who value the opportunity to bless others through financial support and ministry.  In a fifty-year partnership, many individuals, businesses organizations and churches have joined Lakeview Christian Home in providing care for thousands of senior citizens in the Carlsbad area.

Ways to Give

Memorial and Honorarium gifts can be made to acknowledge an important event or person in your life.   These gifts can express your condolences to a bereaved friend or family or to celebrate a milestone in someone’s life.

Special projects

Several times throughout the year the opportunity arises to give to a specific project, item or need of an item that is not provided for through other means of funding.  It is with great excitement that we are at this time, in the process of raising funds for transforming the current nursing facility into five long-term skilled acre “Homes” and a short term rehab center.

Each “Home” designed for sixteen to eighteen people will have a family-like atmosphere which will allow greater privacy, comfort and security.  This peaceful environment will bring about an exceptional lifestyle for residents.

The plan is to begin the ten-year project with a target date of completing the first “Home” in late 2012.  In honor of Representative John Heaton, a long time friend and supporter of Lakeview Christian Home, the first home has been named Heaton House.   “This concept is the first of its kind in New Mexico and we are so excited to be able to offer it to Carlsbad and Eddy County residents”, said Jody Knox, Lakeview CEO.

As we begin transforming the current institutional facility into five “Homes”, we invite you to partner with us in this boldest of dreams.

Ways to partner in this project

Pledges to be paid over a three-year (36-month) period.

Cash (one-time gift) The most common way to make a gift to Lakeview Christian Home for construction of The Heaton House is to write a check.

Gifts of Securities Gifts of stocks, bonds, or IRS transfers may provide a greater benefit to the donor than a cash transaction.

Gifts of Real Estate a gift of real estate held longer than one year provides a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the gift.  Donor is not liable for capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the property.

**All gifts to Lakeview Christian Home are tax deductible to the maximum amount allowed by law.

**Gifts of $15,000 or more could provide a naming opportunity to honor the memory of a loved one or to show appreciation for someone while they are living.
